Upstate Alliance of REALTORS® Hires New Government Affairs Director

Fort Wayne, Ind. (November 2, 2020)— The Upstate Alliance of REALTORS® (UPSTAR) is pleased to announce that Todd Titus has been hired to fill the position of Government Affairs Director for UPSTAR.

A native of Richmond, Indiana, Titus holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Indiana University East and is a recent graduate of Capital University Law School in Columbus, Ohio, where he earned his Juris Doctor in the spring of 2020. During law School, he gained experience in the government affairs arena, not only in the academic setting, but also in practical experience. Titus was the president of the Labor and Employment Law Association, he worked in the Franklin County Prosecutors Office, and he also worked for the law offices of Jonathon Schlegel.

“My two favorite things from law school was the advocacy and legislative portions of classes,” said Titus. “Pursuing a career in government affairs and politics was a way for me to combine them.” 

Titus started at UPSTAR October 5, 2020. His responsibilities include working with local legislators, government officials, and economic development agencies to further UPSTAR’s mission of promoting and protecting homeownership and private property rights, as well as fundraising and candidate support for the Realtors Political Action Committee.
